PA Gaming Control Board Reports Record
Overall Gaming Revenue in November
Record month
highlighted by sports wagering revenue 70% above previous monthly high
HARRISBURG, PA: Figures released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming
Control Board show total gaming and fantasy contests revenue generated in the
Commonwealth during November 2021 was a record $432,493,349 which represents
an increase of 52% compared to revenue generated in November 2020.
The total revenue achieved this month also
surpassed the previous monthly high just achieved in October 2021 of
$425,916,762.
Sources of gaming revenue regulated by the
Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board include slot machines, table games,
internet gaming, retail and internet sports wagering, fantasy contests and video
gaming terminals (VGTs). The Board has posted separate reports for these
types of gaming on its website, https://gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov/.

generated in November 2021 by casinos along with fantasy contests and video
gaming terminals operated by other vendors, and includes a comparison to
total revenue generated last November:

2021.

was $761,574,597 compared to November 2020 when the handle was $491,910,713.
At the same time, the taxable sports
wagering revenue figure for November 2021 of
$63,668,655 represented a record high and was 70% above the previous
high month achieved last November when taxable revenue was $37,350,246.

during November was $22,920,716*.
Video Gaming Terminals
Total adjusted revenue for November for
video gaming terminals (VGTs) was $3,185,451 or 41% higher than November
2020. By the close of November four VGT Terminal Operators were operating
five machines at each of 59 truck stop establishments.

About the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is
tasked to oversee all aspects of gambling at 15 land-based casinos, online
casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and Video Gaming Terminals
(VGTs) at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy
sports contests.
The land-based casino industry in
Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone
(Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and two mini-casinos
(Category 4). Casino expansion will continue over the next couple of
years with the anticipated openings of up to three additional Category 4
casinos. A significant job generator in the Commonwealth, casinos and the
other types of Board-regulated gaming is expected to generate over $1.8 billion
in tax revenue during the 2021/2022 State Fiscal Year.
